are the tweets hooked up to the front door speakers or do they have their own wires to the headunit?

2003 maxima (bose system)

 

Im not 100% but I think they are connected to the front speakers. I am looking to do swap mine out and from what I read it should be a direct swap if you wanted to change them. they are 4 ohms. someone correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Looking at studman's wiring diagram, I only saw outputs from the amp going to the front driver/passenger side, so I would have to assume that they split at some point to feed both the door speakers and the tweets.
