poll: viper alarm 2005 model or standard prestige?

ok i need a better alarm. should i get the standard prestige or the new viper? i mean is it really neccesary for having a 2 way pager? i mean most of the time my car is parked in my driveway. what do you guys think? my neighbor told me 120 for prestige alarm and install without remote start. and my boy said hell get me a 05 viper alarm for 220. the only thing is im going to have to find someone to install it for me which may be more money. i mean if someone really wants the car theyll take it right? plus i probably might do a system in it soon

Umm ok a few facts here...

DEI which equals Viper/Clifford/Python/etc..would be top choice over Audiovox/Prestige anyday.

secondly the 791 is Not an " '05" model, its been available since late '03-ealry '04

third 791 is alarm AND remote start

fourth you can always get a non 2-way Viper/Clifford

fifth let your friend get it for you, then lose ALL of your LIFETIME warranty

I can go on, but Im working and Im tired. I think thats enough for you to chew for a bit.

www.directed.com

It will not allow you to purchase from there. All Viper/Clifford/Python alarms are to be sold "Authorized dealer only" Theres absolutley no online or 'over the counter' sales permitted by DEI. You would be losing your lifetime warranty and $2,500 guaranteed protection plan.

BTW..I just got your PM, gimme call tomorrow to discuss it..

Umm yea....BS! IF he is a dealer and he is handing it to you, then no it does NOT have a warranty. Get it from and read the box itself....

Stated clearly on there is:

"Authorized retailer installation REQUIRED"

Ok then he HIS handing it to you. If its not installed and your paying for then what is he doing ??? You HAND him money, he HANDS you the alarm. Get it?

In which case you are still NOT covered. Go get it from him and Read the box or contact DEI directly. There are NO OVER THE COUNTER SALES. It MUST BE SOLD & INSTALLED BY A DEALER.

ok i talked back to my boy, and he says he gets it wholesale. if anything goes wrong i could always take it out and give it back to him. in other words the warranty would always be valid.

YOU believe what you want, Ill stick to the facts.

Just like buying online or Fleabay, what happens when THAT one person isnt there anymore to serve your 'warranty'?

DEI will not honor **** without a valid sales receipt including labor on it.

Seriously, man...no offense, but I have never seen anyone come off more threads looking like a complete smacked- than you.
