JL audio stealthbox impressions...
#1
Anybody here have a 10" JL Audio stealthbox in their maxima? Thoses who have it or have heard it, what are you impressions of it? Is it loud, does the bass hit hard? I'm asking because I really want to put a box and an amp in my car but I don't want something big and heavy and taking up all my trunk space. Any info is appreciated. Also, about how much $$ is this enclosure, would I be better off getting a custom job done? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's not cheap, Look to pay around $400 for one. But worth every penny. The 10W6 woofer isn't cheap to begin with, and most shops wil charge $200 to $300 to build a fiberglass enclosure you come out to around the same. And It would be very difficult to build a box as well as the stealthbox. Since it uses the 10W6 It hits hard, deep, and clean. Very detailed bass. This is not to win SPL contests, but for high quality bass. It needs to be given as much power as you can give it, so give it the full 300 watts it can take. The build quality on it is great, and it is bolted to the frame of the car, so it would be hard to steal, if a theif even knows it's there. I just got mine a few weeks ago, and finally got around to intalling it last week. what a difference it makes in just bolting it to the car. YOu feel every bass note. I would recommend dynamatting the trunk and rear deck, your you will hear a ton of rattles. So in my opinion, yes, it is deffinately worth it.

I currently sell them where I work. They sound great
and look good in the trunk. Bass response is very good.
If you want alot of BOOM go with 2-12" subs in a box.
The JL is only 1 10"
