Seat heater switch controls 7" LCD

I finally got around to installing my new JVC DV5100 today. I also got my hands on an extra seat heater switch. I rigged up the switch to power on/off the monitor. Installation was pretty straight forward.

1) rip out middle seat heater switch covering.
2) run a hanger down this opening and up where your shifter is
3) tie wires from your new switch to the hanger and pull them through.
4) run a wire from your acc on the harness to the white wire on the switch and then run the black wire to the power on wire of the lcd.
5) done.

Overall I think it has a nice clean factory look and is in a very nice location. Let me know if you have any questions on the installation.

That is a pretty cool idea. I love the setup and the woodgrain.

It has 1 video out 1 set pre-amp outs. If you are looking to put in subs or high end speakers with an amp, I would go with the JVC ADV6160. It has 2 higher quality pre-amp outs and better sub control, and a few other features the DV5100 doesn't have. I am just using the receivers powered output without subs...so the 5100 had everything I needed.
