How do you Install a Microvision screen?
hey guys,
i just ordered a monitor from Redmax and i know a lot of you have them. I was wondering how to install it. Ive never done a monitor install. Do you pretty much just stuff it into the dash? Also, isnt there like a safety feature that wont allow you to watch videos while moving? How do i go about removing that? And to run a kill switch on it do i just run a switch through the power?
Thanks guys!

The Microvision is one of the easiest installs ever. It fits snug between the DIN brackets, and all it needs is power, ground, and video source. The "ground" wire coming off it is supposed to go to the parking brake, so that the parking brake has to be on to watch video, but just wire it directly to ground and itll play all the time. And yes all youd need is a switch on the power to make a kill switch. Lastly, its video input is a yellow RCA jack, so if you are running an all-in-one dvd/cd in the 3rd din, just run video out from the deck to the screen. If you running a separate dvd player, run video to the screen and audio to the aux input of the deck. And your done.

Sorry I didn't take pics.
You basically untighten the screws that are holding your AC controls and radio (assuming by now it's on the bottom slot, leaving room for this unit in the double din) With the screws loose you can just slide the screen in there behind the double din opening. Then when you tighetn the screws to your AC and radio back up, it holds the TV where you had it lined up.
Real nice n easy....
