97 maxima.. speaker/ audio suggetsions?

i am not looking to do much expensive parts like amps, subs, all that. what i want is a decent upgrade from my speakers as they get ,static'-like sound when volumes are high or bass is up< even from regular radio songs.

what i want is to just change my speakers front/back and maybe a deck. any ideas as to what speakers, brand. im browsing through a lot of them.. 3-way seems okay.

any ideas? thanks.

i'm personally a fan of boston acoustics. but your best bet is to go around to different places, and let your own ears be the judge on what you think sounds good, since "good" is very subjective.

no you can mix brands between decks and amps.

also, if anything you want to upgrade your deck first. an aftermarket deck will always sound better with stock speakers than aftermarket speaks with stock deck, generally. Eclipse, pioneer, alpine will be fine for a deck. PM Pearl96Max, he has good prices on Eclipse's.

and yea boston's, cdt, diamond, MB Quart, and for more mainstream stuff any pioneer/alpine/infinity stuff im sure will suit you, depending how much of a critic you are.
