Navigation Question

i have a 2005 maxima se with navigation and was wondering i was thinking about getting a touch screen to improve the sound quality of my system, i wanted to get a touch screen headunit but was not sure whats good to get? Alpine? Pioneer? Kenwood?

anyways i wanted to see some peoples setup with the navigation unit, like i've seen a few pictures but all of them had the car without navigation just wanted to know what people do?

Havent seen many 6th gen setups so far. Are you looking for a double din or flip out?

Eclipse > Alpine and Pioneer in the middle both okay > Kenwood.

OK... he wants a touchscreen headunit such as a clarion or something in addition to the navigation unit he has currently, he wants to know if he can add a new headunit and still use the old navigation... the new headunit would improve sound... but i dont think alot of people on here have alot of experience with the nav of a 6th gen... you should try calling nissan up or going to the service center of ur dealership or something maybe they can help you

oh i c !! i thought you wanted to change the nav screen and expect better sound quality...ok...so you want to change the radio with one of those that have a screen...
well they do sell the kit for that. you will lose the cd changer as well but i guess you dont mind. pretty easy thing to do...remove the dash, remove the radio brackets, replace the front panel with the new one which comes with the slot for the new radio...look under the how-to sticky on the sixth gen forum...ill look later, if i find the link ill point you to it...
