Nice setup Manny. Looks good. Three questions, how much did those tweeters cost ya and can they be purchased alone w/o midrange/midbass speakers? I'm looking to replace my Focal TN45 tweeters. Last question, how is the imaging with the speakers in the factory location?

Looks very nice and clean. Sorry I missed the meet. You are going to Elitecaraudio.com's right? Congrats of the trophy. Can't wait to hear it.

So how's the Morels? Those tweets match the interior so well

Contact Don about that- I bought'm from him....

As far as mid placement, tweet and mid are barely a foot away from each other and the fack that the tweeter plays low and the mid has a larger response it sounds great-it was tricky at first integrating the perfect xover/slope but man they came together nice. Dude popped in Hotel California
with one door open and it filled the parking lot with sound, got lots of compliments.
All I know that the MOST aggravating thing about mounting 8's in the doors is that you have to drill ONE BY ONE every little hole on the speaker grill/door panel....took FOREVER. It allows more sound to come through as it had such small opening that would restrict alot of output...I still have more holes to drill ...lol

Man, I was so worried abou the drivers low Qts how it would fare IB...but man i was impressed, even so Don approved(who installed Illusion 8's in his doors-sounds so sweet BTW) The best was the midrange , when we first mounted them (tweets were not hooked up) we played them full range and the top end was so good on these- the avg Joe would've been happy with just them, no tweets.

I'll def be at the ECA meet, looking forward to more savvy opinions and enjoy you guys systems. I'm sure Don will be there and you guys can hear those Flatlines....they are mean

oh well...oh..well. Thanks I had fun. If some of the haters actually came around my car and looked for anything other than rims/gtr/SE-R badges they'd get a better idea of the work i've put into the car.

BTW, you have really powerful looking forearms, do you bowl, or are they big for the same reason mine are?

And to stay on topic. I am jealous of Manny's car. That's right I said it. Teh hotness.

I missed that. typos suck on awards. Kinda like when your in a class to represent a particular audio company and they present you with your very own plaque and it has someone elses name on it. Then you hang it in your shop. LOL

You joining IASCA? Maybe join in as a rookie next season, oh, but then you may be competing against me That clean azz install would have me and otherwise our systems are "somewhat" similar (2 way front stage, same processing).

I'm really looking forward to IASCA comps. I think I'll learn a lot and the competition and exposure will help me make my system(s) their best. The rulebook and disc that come with membership have already been so beneficial. The people at these comps are INTO good sounding, well installed systems, not stickers and such! I'm excited about it. Sounds like you would get into it too!

lol...dunno if i'm that dedicated, besides how do you think our big ol' sedans will fare as comp cars? I'd love to explore the scene, but it seems like there's not much of it around the Tri-State/ NewEngland area....I'll check out that link
