Infinity Basslink

I have a Pioneer dv-h7000 HU, front components CDT ef-61cfi, and rears some Infinities. I need something for the bass.
I'm not crazy about loud *** bass that makes you replace bulbs every week, but I want something that would keep me happy.
I need lots of trunk space so Basslink looks like what I need.
How does it sound like? Since its all plastic, does it rattle more then produces sound?
If it would solve my problem, more money for other mods.
I don't really want to spend like 500 unless I have to.

So what do you say, should I buy it or get something else?

my friend had the basslink and if i recall correctly, it sucked. i dont remember hearing much bass from it. iunno how much it costs, but if its over 150, dont get it. you can get a better system that takes up a lil more space. but iunno how much bass is too much for you. so iunno. but im just saying, if that is over 200, i dont think its worth it. you'd be better off buying cheap amps off ebay, cuz it'll work fine, since power isnt what you're looking for. fyi, i got an american pro amp from my friend for 60, but a sub for 50 on ebay, got a box for 20, wiring kit for 20, and it balanced out my system (except for boses sorry midrange).

We sell the Basslink for 299 at CC. Dont ask me why its so much, but I advise against it. You can definitely piece together a single 10" sub setup or something MUCH better for the same price, even when shopping retail and not ebay.

the basslink will add some low end definition to your music, but don't expect it to be very loud. like Kevin said, you can shop around a little more to get more 'bang for your buck'

I honestly think Ive replaced more of them than I sold. Not something that I would personally advise.

I had a short argument with a friend awhile back about using a Arc 8 in a small (.34cf) enclosure with a small amp would sound a world better. He continuously disagreed till I bought him the sub for his B-day forcing him to get an amp (Arc2100XXK) ran that at half power (180w)....Lets just say he doesnt doubt me anymore.

I have sold a couple of them, when you set up the controls right they actually do have decent bass. They are just made to save space and give a littel bit of depth to the music, not really give a lot of bass.

If you like rap you can get like one 12" sub, a slightly powerful amp, and gain it down. It will give you better bass, last longer, and still be cheaper than the basslink. I am not sure how much people get them for, but where I work they are 299.

Its funny how this thread moved to what audio toys you got for your b-day from your friedns

I can get the basslink for under $150.
I just don't want to spend a lot, for something that I don't need.
I have LED tails, and I don't want them to go out from bass. If I get a nice system I would blast it.

Your LED tail will be fine with whatever you choose. Dont let that be your deciding factor. Get something of good quality and keep it for many years to come. Thats a sound investment.

It did go quite off topic, but the general concensus was that the Basslink isnt worth the money. It all depends on your budget, because for 150 you wont be able to get much, but Id highly recommend spending the extra dough. Do it once and do it right so you wont be sorry later.

edit: damn don, beat me to it

What would be a good single 10" or 12" sub?
I don't know where to make a custom box, so I will need something with a box already.
Lets say I have $250 on a sub and box.
