need 12v lead for amp....

need 12v lead for amp....

im putting a sub in my stock 2000 bose system and need a 12v source lead for the amp, what can i connect this to??? thanks

ummmmm its a remote turn on, not a power cable

D'oh, my bad. Just buy a relay and wire like so:

86 will be attached to the remote turn on from the HU
85 will be grounded to the chassis
30 will be tapped to the battery w/ a fuse
87 will be tapped by the remote-turn on from the amp

That'll do the trick for ya,

if your only using 1 - 2 amps, you dont need a remote turn on relay. Just simply connect the wire.

well the amp that im using apparently needs a remote lead... its a RF 500s, i dunno why but it does

but i got it now

its not just your amp, ANY amp requires a turn on wire. That's just how it knows that your radio is on.
