Infinity Kappa/Reference coaxial experience...

Anybody have them or have any experience with them please let me know what I can expect out of them. I just bought a pair of Kappa 652.1 2-ways for the front and a pair of Reference 6002i 2-ways for the rear. Should be receiving them before the week is out, and I paid $145 (s&h included) for both pairs. I decided to hold off on the components until the car is paid off, but I needed some new speakers in the meantime, and I heard all kinds of good things about these, so I went for it.

Thanks for your input in advance!

Oops! Wrong model number! These are the Kappa 652.5i 2-ways that will go in the front (75W RMS/225W MAX @ 4-Ohm)

These are the Reference 6002i 2-ways for the rear (60W RMS/180W MAX @ 4-Ohm)

These speakers will be powered by a Profile California 640SX amplifier at 75Wx4 RMS @ 4-Ohms.

Not bad for a mainstream speaker, other than Infinity's infamous loud highs.

i have the kappas for my rear...great speakers...i didnt wanan mount a tweet so these fill up the rear ok, balancing out the subs in the trunk. those are the top sellers for two ways on crutchfield. Not the reason i bought them, but its nice to know. enjoy your new speakers!

i have the Reference 6002i i think they look just like the ones in pic but with dark gray cone. I put these in for rear fill because of some annoying back seat passangers so I wouldn't be able to hear them complaining anymore. I running them of a 40w x 2 rms amp. At first I put a set of 8 yr old pioneer coax's in and they sound horrible compared to my cdt's and couldn't get them to blend in whatsoever so I decided to throw them out look for a cheap replacement. I went to local cc's & bb's to audition some coax and I basically came up with a 3 way tie after spending 5 min in each store it came out to polk, infinity, and alpine [those red & blue shirts are really annoying ]

After about a week of having them I'm kind of disapointed in their midbass output. My old school pioneers were able to respond midbass notes a lot better and were able to hit some low notes as well. The infiniti's had a clearer sound overall and I don't mind bringing them in to play even when I don't back seat folk. They also came with a foam gasket.

I used to have the Reference 6002i they have pretty harsh highs for the rear, but if u put them in the front and then have a sub or somthing then they sound good, as long as u have somthing else to produce your lows, because they dont produce lower range frequiencs, other than that they sound pretty dang good for ur moneys worth

I have the green kappas right now... pretty good quality, i think. id like something better tho.. you could prolly find some for the same price that would be better, however. yeah, now that i think about it the highs are kinda harsh on your ears, mine are amped though... something to keep in mind.

Thanks for the input guys... I've heard mixed reviews about the Infinity highs - some folks like it, others don't and others still have figured out how to adjust them to their liking. I've also heard they lack in the midbass area, but I've also heard that after they've been "broken-in" the mids respond MUCH better. Like I mentioned before, these will be amped, so I realize I will have to play with them to get the sound I want out of them, and I'll have to live with the lack of bass until I get my Kicker S10L5. I'll let you guys know what I think of them once they're installed.

Thanks again, bros!
