i need a mono sub amp and i was thinking jl 500/1 and those run anywhere between 250-350 on ebay , now is it really worth it or should i buy somethimg else that has the same quality and cheaper and what are your recommendation,, i have rf 2212 in a sealed box and pioneer 960 mp cdt hd62 and jl 300/4 powering them

 

personal choice. I would look to go with an old school soundstream rubicon. They are quality amps and fetch a good resale if you decide to get rid of it down the line. Check out the kickers too :WOOWOO:

 

jl amps are excellent but their are amps that are almost as good. What ohmload do you need for the subwoofer. I Can reccomend to you the phoenix gold xenon 600.1 can be found for probably 200-250$ . From what i was told by phoenix gold jl and phoenix gold are manufactured in the same warehouse.
