Whats some of the hardest Hitting 10's?
depends on what you define as hard hitting...put any 10 sealed in a qtc of like .9 or above and hard hitting will be easily achieved due to the boost at 50hz and way up. i prefer some sick low end in my music.
i have two 10w7's and they hit pretty darn hard.. i'm pushing each with its own phoenix gold zx600ti amps.
other set ups i've tried included the alpine v12 series amps and i forgot the subwoofer model. and two jl 12w6 pushed with the zx600ti amp and a single alumapro alchemy 12" dual voice coil pushed by the same amp..
i thought the alchemy sounded the best, hits nice and low, with good bass response...
i'm a fan of sealed boxes because the bass is a bit tighter, but if you're going for spl then go ported.

More brand names ... ugh.
Get a decent sub and build the PERFECT box for it. Consult with the manufacturer as to your liking (more low end, more punch, more overall dB) and they will tell you what type of box and give you ideal enclosure volume. Follow that to a "T" and you will be happy.
I had 2 8+ year old Infinity Kappa 10's in about 1.08 cu.ft. chamber (each) and people had a hard time believing they were 10's.
Short story ... if you're not competing and just want some loudness, get any 10 you can find that will hold ~200-300 watts and build the perfect box for it. You'll love it.

Yes the older Brahmas, cant believe I left out Re audio. There XXX woofers have some of the sickest excursion.

but just to emphasize more on Big Ham's post...a proper box is VERY important. it can make or break how a sub sounds. you can get all these "hard hitting 10's" you want, but put them in a crap box...they won't perform optimally.
