Sub Help?

Hi, im not the most experienced audio person, so im gonna need some help picking out some hard hitting, loud subwoofers, and an amp for them. I was thinking 1 15" sub or 2 12's. Any reccomendations? on the sub/s the max im gonna be paying is 250, 300. The amp, mono, dual, or 4 channel? I have about the same budget for the amp, around 250. any ideas? and any comments would be greatly appreciated.

300 will get you a decent sub on ebay, unauthorized. But for 250 bucks for an amp, you surely wont be gettin very loud and hard hitting.

137? that's it?

kpr10is, you're just jealous I can haul more parts than you could while making everything rattle in the back of my truck. BTW, my bed cover now rattles... time to hit LOWE'S

And just so I'm not whoring up your thread... I'll throw in a idea.

New Memphis M1 subs (designed like M3 but cheaper in price). Though I'm still waiting on Don's feedback on these. I believe the price was around $175 for a 12"... not quite sure.

i was using another dude's amp at the audio meet. puts out 300 @ 2 ohms. the other choice was the amp he was using, but i don't think my sub likes 2000+ watts...

its actually a good score... you need to get metered with the doors and windows closed on the windshield so we can compare results. also try to see what you score at 40hz.

yep... brand new TL mic, barely 2 weeks old when I used it. Yep, the subs are used at least 5 times per week. Though because of local noise laws, I cannot play them that loud (and yet a B1 bomber shakes stuff off my walls when they take off???) So whe I go into town... they get turned up. I love it when people pull forward and try to outrun just to get away from all the bass.
