Just so you grasp the shear size
Just so you grasp the shear size
Well I finally have a chance to get a pic of my box and subs outside the truck. This thing is a little over 80 lbs, and my seats had to be taken out so this giant could be removed.
Here's a shot up next to my Maxima (stock height). Now I have to find someone to take this giant off my hands. The subs will be moved over to the Maxima.

So far I'm not quite sure on what design I want for placement of the subs. It will be a whole new box though. I just have to find someone to buy my old one.
As for the score, that was on a 2 week old TL mic at the time. The MCD1100 amp is the perfect amp for the setup. It's the only amp that is actually rated to do 1 ohm from Memphis besides the MCD4kW. But 4000 watts would blow those subs.

jk

worked out a box plan for the max yet?
I've thought of a couple.
1.) Having a false floor installed, with 2 subs in the corners, 2 subs toward the seats, and the amp under plexy in the middle.

---amp
O-------O
2.) same setup for the subs listed above, amp on a false wall in the back, vent installed towards the middle.

3.) subs lined up in a WIDE U-shape from fender wells towards the tail. Amp on a angle rack facing right up top when the trunk is opened.
4.) subs in a broken V-shape, with the amp at the apex.

That's about all I can think of right now (EDIT) stupid spacing correction, I made everything as close as I could using the dash lines, which represent nothing

i would say number two. I just worked out mine for a single sub, and the amount of space you loose multiple ported is bananas. I had three 10s and had to pull em, but the single e-quake is gonna be close to the same box size just not as deep.
i have an orion 275R if your interested, as it may be lower than the memphis as well as a 1200d. Either way nice setup and cant wait to see pics.
