Question about HeadUnit

I have Alpine CDM 9803, how does that compare to Audiobahn A1100N? I have 2x Audiobahn AS69Q 6x9 3-Way 400W in rear and 2x Audiobahn AS40Q 4" 2-Way 160W in front. The rears are hooked to amp and fronts are on head unit. And I have 10" infinity sub on mono 850w amp. I mostly use my mp3 player. I have the versal link cable thing hooked to the alpine now. Is the alpine better the audiobahn? I am just browserin around. My head unit is fine right now just know that its older. What would u recommend as a good crisp sounding unit? Will some 4x6 or 6 1/2 fit in door with some modifications?

Thanks

amp the front, not the rear. you would want the front soundstage to be strong and the something in the back for rear fill. i would take the alpine over the audiobahn...since they never really did impress my ears.

Def keep the Alpine.

I wont make comments on Audiobahn, my mother taught me to be polite.

Yes 6.5s can fit with modifications.

So audiobahn is ****y? lol I personal like the sound I get very sharp and clear. I got all 4 from guy on ebay that only sells audiobahn. all 4 shipped waz 69.99 I think. But the front are kinda bet up lol. The right front i have been fixed the ring around the cone has come off from the metal housing and vibrates very ****y sound. I am thinkin of movin up to liek 6.5 in the doors.

oh, you're a 3rd gen as well. yeah definately upgrade to 6.5s in the doors. james92se makes these mdf baffles that replaces the stock plastic housing that holds the 4x6s. i bought a pair from him awhile back for 35 bucks shipped. now i'm running 6.5s in my doors.
