Looking to get this but have yet to see a demo in person. The BassLink 'seems' to take up less trunk space (compared to conventional subs) and puts out decent bass for anyone who's not looking for 'competition' sound.

One thing you need to look at is the THD or distortion percentage. A lot of the amped subs (e.g. Bazookas) can have a fairly high distortion percentage (.5%-1.0%) which will drastically affect the quality of your sound.
