Hardwiring Ipod to 4th GEN Bose?

Is it possible to hardwire an Ipod to the bose deck on the 4th gen?
I have a miniplug to RCA cable ($5) that I use to hook it up to my home sterio. I put it into the auxilery port and was wondering if there was somethng like that in the HU.
This would be way cheaper and easier to controll than an Itrip, plus you would never have to change stations when driving and the open station your on starts to come in.

It's been awhile since ive been on here so I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I can't find another thread.

Thanks for any advice
