there are no speaker connects in the factory wire harness for the front speakers. when i connect the rear speakers my kenwood goes into protect mode. it tells me somethings wrong with the speakers. went to best buy and they told me i may have to re-wire the whole car. roughly $250 how do i get around that?

What do you mean there are no connects for the fronts? What color wires are there on the harness? It may be a common ground system.

the white harness coming from the car has 8 spaces but only 4 of them have metal prongs for contacts. there are two blue harnesses that have two wires apiece. so tomorrow i'll try those.
