AS for that staying up late it is a hit or miss. My son is good, he wakes up at like 12 to eat then like 4am to eat again. He sleeps alot. Also keep the house warm and they will be out like a light.

Now if the baby is what they call collikie (spell check), then it will be bad. That is when they have alot of gas inside of them and it bothers them.

Hey can't ask for a better xmas gift.

Now THAT'S how a baby should be decked out. GO BLUE!

Congrats, having a little girl is the greatest! Not that I didn't wish I had a boy too (you're lucky getting one of each out of the way the first time ) but she'll be the apple of your eye and (if your anything like me) will get away with a lot more than her brother!

I hope you can get them home before Christmas. I think that would be the best Christmas gift one can get in life. As I told you in my PM, my prayers go out you and your family.

I am praying as well. Worst case scenario, theyll be home before my Birthday. I appreciate the parayers from you and everyone else. So far both of them are doing much better.

Congrats man. A quick story at how my sister had twins (kinda sad but turns out pretty happy)

The doctors was gonna abort one of the babies as she was tranfusing blood from her twin (they're identical so they shared the same sack thus making this possible). My sister said no, so she was actually risking the life of both her babies because they're blood type had a 25% probablity of being different which can cause ultimately to a slow and pain-ful death to one baby and the other would be stillborn. The doctors opted to take the babies out at 6 months. They weighed in at around 2lbs. They should have not made it past 2 weeks. But they did. One of my neices had a vein bust in her head requiring a shunt to be put in. They are actually taking it out the week after next. The other one (the one that was taking blood) Had weak lungs but due to modern medicine and the help of steriods she is now better. This was a year and a half ago. They thought that the babies were gonna be slow as they were taken out soo early. The doctors was wrong. The babies are actually the size and weight for babies their age (1.5 years old) and both of them are beginning to talk and are either advancing or on point on the advancement charts. They've both been walking since they were 11 months old which is pretty early.

Why am I telling you this? Only because I have found out that most doctors will tell you the worst and you will begin to trust them. No matter what happens in the future with them, keep faith in them. My neices should have been dead but they are bad as hell and everything in their play area has been broken atleast once by them. That is the best part about them. My sister could have made the wrong decision or the right decison. She made the right one and the doctors was just startled to see these girls advance soo quickly. Follow your gut if you are faced with a decison like tis concerning your children. A parent sometimes knows what's best. Doctors don't know everything so follow you gut or allow you wife to (that usually happens anyways)

So all I can say is have fun because once those little brats of yours begins to walk and climb everything becomes 100000000x harder than a radio installation trust me. I suggest you getting a regular clothes bin that is like 6" off the ground and fill it with toys and stuffed animals. When they start "exploring" that bin is gonna give you some couch time as I put my neices bin right in front of the tv and they turn the whole bin over and play right in front of me instead of climbing the door fences so they can be contained.

Glad everything worked out for your sisters babies.

I had a situation with mine several weeks back where they had metioned aborting one of the births. This was due to the girl having an enlarged kidney as well as stomach and supposedly leading to Downs Syndrome. I told the doctors I would much rather take the chance of having her born that way than lose her or even both of them. No matter what I wasnt about to give up on them without even giving them a chance in the world. Long story short, for the most part they both turned out completely healthy. A little premature and needing to stay in NICU for a couple weeks, otherwise perfectly healthy babies.

I understand doctors are giving the "worst case scenarios", but this can also lead to enormous amounts of stress on both parents and possibly making things worse for the unborn children.

All in all I believe nothing said and everything I actually see. In which case proved to be the right choice. Im also very optimistic about things like this until something can give me a reason to not be.

A little late as I was out of the country (went to Bolivia on a medical mission for little ones ).

CONGRATULATIONS Don !!!!! . For me there is nothing more enjoyable than spending time with my little ones. Enjoy your time with them as time seems to fly as they grow up. Good thing that you chose to have both little ones. My sister went through a similar experience, she chose to keep her little one and all turned out great.
