Oppurtunity to go to CES.

Well I have an oppurtunity to stand in at a booth at CES to help out with a family friends, booth. If I take it it could lead to a position with them as a seller in New Jersey/ NE, or even with other companies that the owner of this company is affiliated with/is buddy buddy with.

What would you guys do?

It's a risk, but if you're not vested in a company at present, give it a shot.

I don't even have a job, or anything. Basically this trip will be completely free for me, I just have to bring myself. I may not meet anyone, I may meet someone who likes me and wants to have me as a part of his/her company, it may amount to absolutely nothing. I just don't know if I want to do it right now after just coming back to Nj after moving. This guy seems to like me and wants to help me out. I think I want to push at getting him to introduce me to some of the companies that are car audio related so that I can get in good with them. He knows the owner of a Clarion and Dual as far as the ones he spoke about. Dual is up and coming, sure they make sub-par quality stuff, but they sell. Obviously Clarion is a totally different ball of wax...... what to do what to do????

I'd go just cause I'm dying to go. I'd love to see all the new stuff, see all the companies put their best foot forward, listen to a pair of edgarhorn titans, visit manufacturers......

I agree with Metal Maxima, GO .

I recently went on a trip that I was not too sure about going on. My family finally convinced me to go, and I actually came back with a little different outlook on things. Thing is you never know, so check it out.

Go, and while you're there, take any and all remaining money from your checking/savings/credit cards...and put it on Black

Good luck

CES is an awesome opportunity to network. Hell yes you should go. I look forward to it every year. Takes a couple days to see everything and it's so worth it.

I don't know what it takes to get in ticket-wise, but if I could get in then I would deffinately drive the 5 hours to check it out (plus I have a good friend that lives in Vegas).

You should go-you've got nothing to lose but tons to gain.

Is there a question in the first post?

Hell yes I would go if I were you. A free trip to CES, job offers or not, would be awesome. Go for it!

It doesnt cost anything to get in, although its also not open to the public.

I can guarantee you that half of the people that go to the show don't belong there.
