for those of you with sat. radio: do you use FM modulator or did you hardwire?

I ask because I'm wondering how much of a difference hardwiring will make.

Right now I'm running off the FM modulator into my sound system and I definitely don't get "CD quality" sound. There's certainly no static, like terrestrial radio, but the sound is a bit tinny and a little hollow, which sucks since I have a pretty decent system in my car. Would hardwiring make a significant difference to improve this or does it only help improve the static aspect of things?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Go hardwire if you can. It will definitely be an improvement over FM modulator. But regardless of connection type you will NOT "CD Quality Sound" from sat radio.
