Pioneer AVX-P8DVD Questions

I was just lookin up this headunit, and it seems to play dvds/cd/MP3 etc etc, and a whole lots of features but mentions nothing about Wattage and what not. So im assumin its just a monitor? So if it plays everything (formats) how do you get the sound to come out. If my interiors are running by an Amp, is that all i need?

Hook it up to an amp. But it is recommended that it be connected to a Pioneer headunit with IP bus control.

"THIS UNIT IS A "SLAVE" AND REQUIRES A HEAD UNIT TO MAKE IT WORK. PIONEER AVXP-8DVD REQUIRES EXTERNAL AMPLIFIERS. THIS UNIT DOES NOT HAVE ANY INTERNAL AMPLIFICATION"

Yea you could, but the output maybe just a mono output or just a summed left and right output.

And one more question, i also have a clarion DS744? EQ hooked up right now as well, will that make it work better or generally same as without it?

Better probably. You can run the output of the pioneer to the in of the EQ and run that to the amps for a cleaner signal and more sound processing.

I know someone that has an Eclipse AVX for sale.

Double din HU with screen, probably the same price you will get your Kenwood for.
