First you need to ground the radio. Which by the sound of it, it isnt.

For your issue to be resolved, you need to power the antenna wire. Blue one in the harness...

o well, no1 is born knowing exactly how to do everything.....

as for grounding the deck, i connected the ground on the deck to black (ground) wire that plugs into the pac then the factory wiring. should i not do that and ground that wire directly. also i have the blue wire connected....

Being that theres no actual ground wire in that harness, then you need to ground directly to the chassis.

With all due respect to your sarcasm, this type of post as well as PAC adaptors are covered in the FAQs.

Maybe not everyone is born knowing how to wire up radios with Bose, but the majority of people DO know how to READ.

Fair enough.

1. There is no need to ground the antenna adapter, in any way shape or form.
Some antenna adapters have the 2pin connector, as well as another female connector, then the side that goes into the aftermarket HU. Just zippie tie that extra female end up, it's not used for your purposes.

2. Make sure the radio itself (black wire coming out of HU harness) is grounded.

3. Make sure the solid blue wire coming out of the same HU harness is hooked up to the solid blue wire in your aftermarket nissan harness.

bare metal is great, theres also two 10mm bolts below the radio, very easy to use as well.

If you check the wire with a DMM, it is in fact not a ground at all. You can thank NIssan engineers for that.
