a)No 45's. It will weaken the corner.

b)Not sure what you mean here?

c)Most manufacturers will give you the exact box dimensions as well as the sizes of the boards for each panel if you give them a call.

Good luck, and have fun!

remember to predrill to reduce odds of spliting the wood.

pre-drill...you basically drill a small hole into the wood before driving a screw into the board. this will lower the chance of the screw splitting the wood. the diameter of the hole shouldn't be larger than the diameter of the central shaft on the screw.

nah...get ahold of someone on caraudi oforums, Jellyfish, Squeak12, or Moelester and have em tweak them numbers.

Ascendant, you got 37 wide to fit? I called myself erring on the side of caution at 33 but would definitely appreciate a copy of those specs if you still have them would fit my armageddon nicely...

Its great. I was looking to get another when they listed it on partsexpress, Needless to say they all sold out rather quickly. I have to say that it is definitely a change from what Im used to but its enough to satisfy my urges lol.

with that width were you able to push the box all the way flush with the seat? Mine goes all the way back and id like to go to a slight bump in box size and port width.

yeah all the way in, but it'll hit this bump thingy near the bottom. so it wasn't really flush with the back seat.

Ascendant wasn't that n a 3rd Gen Maxima? I don't think we can get much more than 33" n the 4th gens...not between the wheelwells anyway...

why not make the box a little deeper to make up the width? in any case, it'll sound pretty sweet

I hate the torsion bars for the trunk. What size sub r u building a box for? I've got a 2.5^ft tuned to 35hz. I think its 14.5h x 14d x 32w, with a plexiglass back...perfect for a 4th gen.

mine is right at those dimensions but 33wide. I have 14.5hx14dx33 with the port firing on the left side front but its a 2.5 inch port and Im getting mild chuffing with the trunk open . I pretty much glassed the inside and was working on the front, but looking to increase port size and a LITTLE bit more airspace hopefully to get me more output and less port noise...and its only on certain tracks but...i want more...

wood glue with screws.

the screws are there to hold the pieces together until the glue sets. once the glue cures, that joint will be very hard to break.
