No more support from cicuit city

Hey guys. I have a viper 600esp which I had installed at circuit city when I bought my max. Recently my lights stopped flashing when I unlock my car. I went to circuit city to ask the installers how to make them flash again because I couldn't find it in the manual and they said that they couldnt help my because he dont carry dei anymore. i was wondering if anyone knows how to enable the lights again? And also is there a way to program the alarm without the use of the software? Thanks

Thats BS, DEMAND that they warranty THEIR work. If they installed it, you shouldn't have to be the one to fix it yourself. You paid for the product and the warranty or support that comes with it.

I thought that they gave a lifetime warranty on alarms. Just skip straight to the manager and explain your situation.

Yeah, the car's only been out for almost 4 years. I wouldn't buy toilet paper at Circuit City

...unless it was on sale

^ Not to mention there has only been 1 Nissan wiring harness since 1995.

I wouldnt buy anything from us either. I dont know what the deal is with the people we hire. Do you have a pulse? Then youve got a job at CC. Not that BB is any better.
Im only still here cuz its better money than anywhere else in Gainesville.

riiiiiight....they're gonna say "since your car is a 2006 model, we don't know how to remove the dash, but we did use expensive 3M double side tape to secure your head unit under the steering wheel..."

To me it's pretty sad when I go into a store and know more than the people whose(sp) job it is to know that stuff. I am glad that they do not work in my line of work.

I was brought up under the idea that you do a good job in whatever you do. Every job I've had I have always tried to do a good job on. Maybe I am an old timer, but if someone's paying you to do a job, I believe in trying to do it right.

Im right there with you 100%. But other than the Roadshop mgr and asst mgr, I have the most tenure out of the other installers, and Ive been here a year and a half. Been offered the asst mgr position twice but I dont need that retail BS. I would honestly take a pay cut to work with people with our kind of self-motivation.

Lol I did that once to a guy at 6th ave electronics. My friend was with me and we laughed the whole way home as to how bad I made the sales guy(s) look. I just politely nodded and then told him what was up and he walked away with his tail between his legs and got someone else to help me..... well that didn't work out too well so they had to get ANOTHER guy to help, finally I was like well if I've never worked at a car audio place and know more than all of you combined, I'll take my business elsewhere.

It's bad enough that 6th ave sells Eclipse. Once CC does, it's all downhill from there.

I've done this a little before. I have actually kind of jumped into a conversation when they are really trying to rip someone off. I remember one young guy asking the sales guy if he really needs all this stuff. He said you know I work at Taco Bell and it has taken me a long time to save up my money. The guy still kept feeding him bull. After my little conversation he decided to go elsewhere . It annoys me when they try to take advantage of someone who is actually asking for their help. When I go back they give me the evil eye, but I don't mind .

On the other hand I have been in a couple of shops (smaller shops), where the guys are really cool. They will ask you what you want and actually take the time to explain things to you (and these guys actually knew their stuff). The times I have been there I have not seen any of that other bull going on.

I have to admit it's fun when they try to put you to shame as if they knew everything. Then you totally shred them after reeeling them in. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to car audio, but they have a little more than me to go .

i think my favorite chat with one of these cheap stereo shops was how superior their prefab bandpass box was compared to my ported box my brahma was in. they said it'll provide excellent sound quality, and that 4 ports would out-perform my large single slot design. they said they'll throw in the box for free if i picked up a pair of 12" visonik subs...

damn box looks like the ones you can get off of ebay...

Had they ever hear of a Brahman before, probably not. That is what cracks me up, they will talk about something they know nothing about.

I would have jumped on that deal though .
