What alarm sensor has worked for you?

I'm ordering up sensors and wanted opinions on what ones everybody likes/ have used in your install. Secondly are there any that haven't worked for you, or worked poorly? I'm installing a DEI alarm but curious about sensors/ devices accross the board.

A lot of people dont like the proximity sensor because they can be a pain in the *** with people just walking by. I like mine, I keep the outer circle completely off, the only way it goes off is if someone reaches their hand in my window (which is never open, so its a little redundant, but i live in philadelphia and want to take every precaution i can).

I have heard that about the prox sensors (like the DEI 508D) and was thinking if I do get it I would use it in the way you described. Thanks.
