battery dies even with the car on...

yes... i had my system bumping... and after i hopped back into the car i started to see all my lights flashing and the fuel guage go down and back up as well as the temp gauge and the ses blah blah blah... well i had to jump start the car... i havent bumped my system for 3 days now afraid of it happening again... i also noticed even with the bass down really low but not faint my int. lights dim/flicker... i know its taking in too much juice from the battery... and i really don't want to replace my alt. for a higher output... any other alternative ways to go about this... btw i have a 2001 max gle with original battery... still works and ran several tests on it with machines at my job.... load tests etc. and the machine claims its good/excellent...

so your alternator is putting out sufficient voltage when the car is on?

It's either your alternator going or your battery going.

If its when the car is on, its your alt.

edit: you dont need a higher output alt, just one that works lol

Id have to agree here. Sounds like the Alt. You definately should not be having this problewm with everything working properly. When checking the Alt, dont be so concerned with voltage, but more amperage.

BTW, its not uncommon for the Maxs alts to go, but your amp definately isnt drawing enough to kill it.

Take to Advanced Auto Parts or Auto Zone. They'll test the battery/alt for free.

Drive your car to autozone and have them test it. It does not need to be removed in order to test it.
