Batt+ to cap+. Cap+ to amp1+. Cap+ to amp2+. Amp1- to cap-. Amp2- to cap-. Cap- to ground.

Thats how I usually do em.

Throw the cap away completely cause its a bandaid and does more harm than good?

Thats how I usually do em.

agreed, ditch the cap or return it and get your money back.

cap is useless unless you are runnin a sub that draws alot of OHMs or current.

One way to be sure is if everytime ur sub hits and your cluster lights dims to the beat then u definitely need a cap. Other wise its useless!

...how does a sub DRAW ohms?

Sorry man, but instead of getting a cap if your headlights are dimming, try upgrading wire, including the big 3.

I wouldve said the same thing, but I assumed he already had it and couldn't return it. If you can return it, do so and invest in a battery and big 3.

Better yet he should invest in a book of basic electronics.

A cap is a simple bandaid, not a fix. Upgrading wiring should be the first point, others would be battery and if needed alternator. Those are resolutions, not temp fixes.

Amps do not draw Ohms, whoever told you this should lose his job IMMEDIATELY.

Thats a sure way of knowing that your car has a problem, not a way of knowing that you "need" a cap.

that isnt what their saying. Take the cap back. When you return the cap use the refunded money to purchase yourself a high gauge wiring kit and do the big three upgrade. This will increase your ability to transfer current through your vehicle. This will reduce the dimming. Hopefully. If not then go deeper and add a battery with a little more oomph. You can use an isolated setup fi you allow yours to run with the car off like ive been known to do on occasion but a simple optima in the front is a big help. If you still need more current it is now time for you to get aholdof a high output alt. EXCESSIVE AMPERAGE owns joo there.
