Problem with Eclipse CD5444

Hello All,

I have an Eclipse CD5444 in my 4th gen (bought the car already installed with it).
From what I know the unit is less than 9 months old.

Problem - I can't get a CD to pop out.
Everything was working fine until yesterday.
I did take the headunit out a couple times in the past few days (i was installing a carpc).

The face flips down & then I use the "1" button to get the CD out, but when I press "1" the face just closes back up.

Any ideas?
I can't send it in for repairs under warranty because i'm in Eastern Europe.

- Jay

What does Eastern Europe have to do with the warranty?

It's a hastle to ship the unit out. It probably costs less to get it fixed here than to pay for shipping.

Anyway, i fixed the problem today. It was my mistake, I hated the way the unit sticks out (i got a screen and the unit is in the lower pocket), so I tucked it in a bit...well, when the unit opened to load/unload a cd, it didn't open fully & that's why it wouldn't eject the cd.

When I read problems that people have I always assume that stupid solutions such as this one have already been tested.
