Tape adaptor or FM Transmitter?

Yeah, my vote goes for tape adapter if you don't have an AUX input. The FM modulated satellite radios I've installed don't always work the best (at least not everywhere).
Though, if you can use one of those FM modulator relays it should be pretty decent - I've used those with success in a couple cars:

It's nice because it's a pseudo-wired connection, and, in essence, it shuts down the rest of the radio reception so your radio can ONLY tune to what's being modulated.
You might, however, need one of the other modulators and not the one I specified above:

i've been using fm transmitter for years
but
when i bought my 6th gen. i quickly switched to tape. the sounds quality is much better. the only thing that sucks is the wires. but when you're a stickler for sound quality, it's worth the trade, especially if you live in an a city with tall buildings that block reception.
