$235.00.
No S/H
Let me know the store you want to pick up the item at and their phone number. I'll give them a call to hold one for you and give them an invoice number. You can pay for it at the store. If you want, go inside that Tweeter store, talk to one of the car guys their and tell them you have a "friend" that works at the Tweeter in Vista, Ca store #0606, and you'll be getting the Passport 8500 for a special price. Let me know the name of the salesperson/manager you spoke to and I'll do the rest...

Here is the location for Tweeter's

If you can make the call to Tweeter's for tomorrow pick up then that would be GREAT! I can pick it up at this location 874 Commonwealth Ave Boston, MA 02215 (617) 738-4411 tomorrow since I am off for driving in the BMW charity drive. After I kick some butts at the drive then I can drop by to pick up the radar detector. Do I have to pay tax? From your post I guess I have to pay the 5% MA tax right? Just let me know if this is okay for you to set up. You can post here or email me at max_se@hotmail.com with the infos. I will check back tomorrow for details. Thanks again!!

Give me your info, name/phone number, I'll generate an invoive on my end, and I'll give you the invoice number. Take that number to the store and you can pick up your 8500. When you go into the store ask for a guy named Dave A. and he will get your 8500 for $235.00 plus tax

The Kenwood KVT910DVD is EXTREMELY hard to get. I would like to get one for myself through Kenwood but they are on a backorder situation on this piece. I personally can't get one until the middle of September!! We are expecting only 21 at the end of this month. We cannot keep enough in stock at all. Maxima.org price on it is $2225.00 and the KDCC717 cd changer for $180.00. S/H does apply and maybe tax depending on where you live.............

eclipse?

Dave,

Carry any Eclipse in-dash disc changers? I've already got a 5341 installed, and I have the extra din space, so I'll need something that's compatible with that. Thanks for your help...

Myself and my partner here at work are fighting tooth and nail to carry more Eclipse. Well we somewhat succeeded. The 5962 6 disc in dash cd changer was normally a special order and we should get in about 3-4 units about the middle of next month for people that do not want to wait for a special order. The Maxima.org price for the 5962 is $510.00. The deal with Eclipse is when WE (Tweeter) installs it you get a 3yr warranty, 1yr theft protection, and 1st yr over the counter exchange. If I sell/send it to you, you lose all of that. Just want to let you know. Tell me the city/state where you live. I might be able to refer you to another Tweeter store and still give you the Maxima.org price.

On the 4th generation Maxima JL Stealth box...part number SBNMAX10W6 has a single JL 10W6 sub inside. Very nice. We only have this item as a special order. I just called JL and it is available ready to go for the Maxima.org price of $375.00..........Let me know,

MaximaDave,

I live in Philly, PA and my zip is 19107. There are quite a few Tweeter stores in the area, but I'm not sure if all them do installations. The easiest stores in my area would be the King of Prussia store or one in Maple Shade, NJ. If you could see if they would take the Maxima.org price and get back to me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

The King of Prussia store does do installations. The way it works is, You give me your information like name address and phone number. I then call the store have them reserve the piece for you (if they have it in stock) and you go by there and ask for the person I spoke to on the phone. They won't give you the Maxima.org price if you just walk in. I have to generate an invoice on my end and then fax it to them. Let me know when you are ready. You can reply to this post or to speed things up call me at my store at 760-945-5900

Maximadave,
The KOP location no longer carries the unit in stock (I just called them to save some time). They do have the trunk mounted 8 disc changer (5083) in stock that they will install. A guy by the name of Jason quoted me a price of $360 installed. Let me know and I will get bak to you asap.

Ok I dont know much about car audio SO I'm just going trust you maximadave because u seem to know a lot. I want to get rid of my factory bose system speakrs and the factory deck. What I want is a system that will deliver great bass. Keep in mind though I plan to add two of the 12" kicker l7 subs or one 15" l7 if I can ever find them for a good price. So basically I want a system that has good bass prior to any subs but can still deliver without. I'm looking for a good double din unit, but since we discussed that already and decided that there really isnt a 'good' double din unit so I am open to all suggestions for the head unit. I'm really interested in in-dash cd changers though...So basically I just want to you to throw some ideas out in the air. I dont want a cheap system but I'd like to stay away from the astronomical prices. Thanks a lot maximadave, get back to me when you get a chance.

Look at the 56050. It is a 6 disc in dash cd changer, built in am/fm tuner, remote, 5 volt preamp, 3 preouts, 3yr warranty (when installed by an Eclipse dealer), 1yr over the counter exchange, and if someone steals it out of your car within the first year Eclipse will send you a brand new one!!! Go with the factory Infiniti/Nissan Pocket underneath it, I have the Eclipse 7002 monitor in the dash of my Maxima with the factory pocket underneath it and looks great. Speakers front and back look into the Eclipse 89640's I have these as well, they are called "Point Source" and they are extremely clean speakers. My JL 300/4 75WX4 amplifer runs them very clean. For your subs, Kicker subs are pretty good, but look into the JL 12W3D4's (I have 1 JL 10W3D6) they pound very well especially when you add the JL Audio 500/1 500 watt mono block to them. I essentially did this exact same system In a 4th gen Maxima last week and it was EXTREMELY loud! Before you put subs in your trunk you WILL have to Dynamat your trunk to prevent all the rattles that comes with playing alot of bass.

Retail:
56050 $799.99
500/1 $549.99
300/4 $499.99
12W3D4 $199.99 each
89640 $199.99 a pair
Let me know,

Hey Guys:
Sorry I haven't had a chance to reply...My internet service at work that I use is down and will be down for some time. I'm using my Dad's computer at work...here are the replies:

On the JL stealthbox for the Maxima, It's a very good enclosure pounds pretty good, it has a single JL 10W6 in it. If you want something thats going to pound go with 2 JL 12W3D4's in a custom box with a JL 500/1...serious poundage!

On the PIAA H4's they are the superwhites for $52.00 plus tax and s/h if applicable. On my PIAA catalog it only calls for the H4's. I have them on my car and they are b!tchen.

For the best amps for sound and poundage:
JL 500/1 500 watts continous power from 1.3ohms-4ohms. Maxima.org price is $475.00 and the JL300/4 is 75 watts X 4 and sounds very clean. I have both JL amps in my Maxima and they are the best I've heard.

I'll be back on Saturday afternoon maybe Sunday at work to see any replies...Oh yeah, the JL300/4 is $420.00 for the Maxima.org price

Re: Maximadave

So 2 JL 12W3D4's will pound my Max and a 500/1 will push them? What about 2 JL 12W6's?? Another question, what does the D4 mean??? And the 500/1 is $475, so how much is the 12W3D4's & 12W6's???? What kind of custom box will be the best?????

Thanks

JL has 12W6's in stock BUT nobody carries them anymore. They are currently out of production. 12W3's are essentially the replacement of the W6 lineup. Sorry I don't have pics of a JL stealthbox but try jlaudio.com and they might have a pic posted on their website. For the price on the stealthbox is $$375.00 part number is SBNMAX10W6. We currently do not carry it but its available as a special order...

If you are running seperate amp power look into the Boston RX67, RM6's or if you want to run seperate components look at the Boston RC620 for the front and the Boston RX67 for the rear. The 12W3's are one hell of a sub to go with and they outperform the W6's...

Deck power...look at the Boston FX6 or Eclipse 82641's

Does this help a little bit?
