What good is bass without a balanced fronstage? You guys really think that the Bose fronts sound good with these subs?

Also What good is bass if you got some nasty rattling and farting going on?
Did you take the effort to dampen your rear deck? Did you dampen your trunk lid?

I'm not dogging you guys at all ,nor saying you need some super system with high priced equipment. But if you are going to do something , educate yourselves and do it right. The Maxima is a nice car, particularly your 6th gens-i find it very classy. At least dampen the car and listen to clean bass.

Thowing subs in the trunk does not make a 'system'. Throwing any sub in any random box off ebay doesnt mean it will play to the best of its performance either-simply because they made a baffle cover to sit flush in your trunk.. A little attention to the specifics goes along way. Its not about the 'concept' of adding more what makes a system good, its the execution.

What sizes internally are these enclosures? Are you picking the subs based on optimal performance for this airspace?

To be honest yes I think my Bose sound pretty good with these subs (especially after adding the HU and being able to adjust them) I've had systems in every car that I have owned and while I will admit I am not an expert but I think it sounds fine. I have a full set of MB Quarts sitting in my garage that I will eventually put in to complete the system though because I know stock is never going to sound as good as aftermarket.

Rattling farting, next project! I had most everything dialed in but when I put this new box in a whole new set of rattles appeared. Dampening will come...

The enclosure I bought (2 10" round) is 1.07 cu ft per side/chamber. My JL W7's are require a volume of .70 cu ft. After asking around I was told these would run fine in this box. Not sure on everyone elses specs. So yes I did do some research before just buying some box off of EBAY. An for the money you can't go wrong.

So in summary I do educate myself and while I don't have money to burn I go with the best product for what's in the budget...

:leapfrog:

Oh yeah and nothing taken personal either, that's why we are all here!!!
