When connecting the antenna ring to the key cylinder, are you cutting the antenna off and splicing into the wires coming out of the little box mounted on top of the cylinder? I was just looking closely at the diagram and noticed this. Is this why sometimes the system starts and then shuts off? Currently I only have the ring wrapped around the cylinder.

DON'T CUT THE WIRES. I put the little black ring around the ignition, right before the black box. I just mashed that little plastic light ring thing on top of it, then the beige ring on top of all that once you get the steering column assembled again...mine has been workin great since november when I put it in. PM me if u got any more questions about the remote start..I have an excel spreadsheet with all the wire colors that I made when I installed mine.

^ Correct. The ONLY wire to cut in ANY remote start/alarm install (in a maxima) would be the starter wire for the starter kill/anti-grind, located at the ignition harness.

All the wiring you should need has been posted in the Sticky.

Done and done! Finally, she's perfect. I found out that since I was not using the door lock (-) wire in the door for the activation input, and instead using the lock motor at the secu, I had to use the (+) White/Red activation input wire. Now she doesn't shut down immediately after startup. Thanks for everyone's help, it was definately a trial and error ordeal. I'm just glad I got it to work.
