just bought a new system..includes the following..

a/d/s 6.5 346cs 2 way speakers for frontstage..
a/d/s 6.5 246ix convertables for the rear..
Precision power 4 channel 1000.4
4 ohm: 125x4
* 2 ohm: 250x4
* Mono Operation: 500Wx2 @ 4 ohm
* THD+N: 0.08%
* S/N Ratio: >100dB
....i'm gonna run the fronts and rears of this amp..eventually i will buy a second amp...

future plan... to run front's and sub with ppi amp..then get a second amp to run the rears..so i can adjust where i want the sound....

this is all gonna run off my ****ty panasonic 730 head unit..
but eventually im looking to upgrade to the new pioneer deh-p9800bt

Why PPI? They have not been worth a darn since the power class. now those where powerful amps. But congrats on new set up. Any audio is better than no audio. The a/d/s are not bad they have a good sound. I ran those once upon a time. I am glad that people continue to upgrade there sounds.

There are No distributors for Rainbow at all.

SEAS are run by MobileSQ on the West coast. Youd be hardpressed to find any highend reputible products through distribution.

Im guessing you got the A/D/S and PPIs going through a distributor that stocks DEI products.

Dont take offense to this, but its the salespeople, not the customers if its doing that badly. I pride myself on Only offering Highend products and I do quite well with sales. NY has the money, you just have to show people what theyre buying and why.

If it wasnt me it would have been someone else. If you ask around in this forum I am VERY Easy going. Others would have banned you already without a thought. Just like the thread you put in the Northeast section (I dont moderate) got deleted.

Umm you do know how both work right? XM has been proven to be more relaible, hence the reason theyre offered in more cars and now on airlines. Theres more satellites and they orbit With the earth not over it in figure 8s.

Also where is there more or less soldering in either? If I had to pick one, it would still be XM due to the Terk direct connect units working with both OEM and aftermarket HUs. ALL plug&play

that is true with the terk....when we hardwire the unit to the fuse box we solder speaker cable to a fuse or ground and power through the radio.....xm has uses 5 volts ..

sirius i just cut the cig lighter thing and black to ground and black-white to a fuse..

the cross over for the ads speakers are the size of my old amp 200 watt amp... these things are huge, theyre definatly not going in the door. and now i have to make a whole for the tweeter.... im debating whether to make the tweeter directional towards the driver and passanger.

you don't want the tweets to aimed directly at you. it might be a little too harsh...

I would still tilt them a bit, not completely directed toward the person. Even at 10 degrees, it could make a world of difference.
