Lilliput Touch screen

I'm not sure if any of you carputer guys are getting these for less from somewhere else. I looked around and found nothing.

Lilliput Screen on eBay

I just bought one of them... does anyone have any experience with that model? (629 according to Nadir)

Price seems ok..The screen itself is good, my roommate has one (or a similar one) and he likes it.

From spending alot of time over at www.mp3car.com I've found out the Xenarc's are much better quality, granted they are $100 more than the Liliputs. I plan on getting the Xenarc for my project.

I am slowly in the process in purchasing a touch screen as well. I would suggest that you spend a little more and get the higher quality one vs a cheaper one. Many factors will play a huge role when you install it.

1. Brightness (in direct sunlight/dark)
2. Angle of viewablility
3. Clarity

It just keeps going on. I would invest in the higher end one.

for the sake of comparison, I'm buying the Lilliput to check it out.. i have a potential buyer lined up if i decide to get the Xenarc. I drive mostly at night so I don't really require much as far as a screen goes, but if this one lacks in quality then I will get the more epensive one.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

Hey you guys, its just a matter of opinion and really how much you wanna spend!!.I have lilliputs.4 to be exact, i tried the others that were more or less money and i still went back to the Lilliputs. The price you see them on ebay for from that guy is the going price. How do i know that?......well i sell them too for the same price along with full blown carputer systems.

I took first in a triple points USACI meet yesterday and i can tell you now.the judges love the lillyputs and the whole carputer thing.
If you need any further info please feel free to IM me and i will help you out.

Keep Krusin,
Chef

if you're able to resell the lilliput, it's worth a try, i bought a xenarc and paid too much i felt because some sniper bumped the price up at the last second to $375. i still saved $25 compared to the cheapest retail price i could find it for. the lilliput is definitely worth a try i'd say. my xenarc has been sitting in its box on the shelf for about a year now but hopefully i'll get a pc up and running eventually. as d-bo said, mp3car.com is the place to go.

lil teaser, still have a little more shaping to do on the trim piece..
