Component speaker install help
Hey guys i just got new type-r alpine component speakers and am in the middle of installing them. I have an aftermarket cd player with the adapter andd i just cut it out and hooked the wirring harness up to the back of the cd player. I am now going to compeletly replace all the bose speakers but am i little confused. My bose speaker in the door has a connect going to it with 6 wires in it? shoudl i cut this and use the wires on my new speakers? and the alpine tweeters have to be asslembled i beleve, did u guys do this? Im basicly a newbie, maybe there is somehitng im missing here...HELP
Hey thanks, running new wires threw the doors was kinda a pain but its just about all set, now wut about the rears should i run new speaker wire under the carpet or can i use the original wires?
Yea gettin threw the jams is a pain tho. Pullin the wire threw the dash and the front door jams was hard, i dont know if there is a good way to go threw i just took off the boot and pusehd It threw but i still found it difficult. If the carpet is easy to pull up id figure that woudl be a good hiddidng spot for the wires and easier than threw teh doors. Is there wires that go threw the front to the rear doors?

Oh and to answer your question, in a 4th gen, your speakers are in your rear deck, not your rear doors. So you have to pull out your backseat (upper and lower), C pillars, and rear deck to get to them.

Aight so i got the rear seat out, pillars, and rear deck but now i realize taht the screw holes for my new speakers dont match up. Do i need a bracket? or should i just try and drill new holes? I called up a local car audio store but there closed
Are you willing to part with your stock system (at least the tweets)? If so, let me know at redceligt00@yahoo.com
