Question for Audio Experts

I have a 98 max with a bose system. I just installed a new Pioneer h/u and its great. I was wondering if the was any i can add an amp and subs while keeping the stock speakers. Usually on other cars you would have to get another amp for the speakers but since each speaker has its own amp i thought it might work to add a sub and an amp for the sub.

Or...could i bypass the amp for individual speaker, and then get 2 amps...one for all the speakers and one for the sub?

I read the stickies but i was still unsure. Any help is appreciated.

Lots of wrong information here. How would adding an amp affect the interior speakers? It won't. The stock speakers are already working and there is no reason for them not to when your adding a completely seperate entity into the mix. Usually on other cars you DO NOT have to get another amp for the interior speakers, your logic and idea is completely wrong here.

All you have to do is run the sub output rca's from the HU, power, ground and remote to the amp and there you have it. Stock bose + amp/sub combo.

Dont mind him, hes still a Newb himself.

Yes you can add an amp/sub setup with no issues while maintaining your current factory setup.
