4th gen alt on a 3rd gen??

I found a new alternator for a 4th gen, 125 amps compared to my like 70. And all you get for the 3rd gen is remanufactured, so can it fit the 3rd gen??

i posted in here cause i figured someone might have for audio reasons, so you can move it if you need too

The stock alternator is good. I had the VG and ran around a 2400watt system flawlessly. BTW 70amps at 12.6volts idle. Post 12 specifically

well i've only got 350 RMS pulling and my lights dim BAD whenever it hits, i am planning on replacing the wires from my bat. to my alt. and teh grounds, cause right now they are badly corroded, maybe that'll help. i'm fixin to put a 900 RMS amp in and if i don't do something about it i'd hate to see how bad my lights dim....

What?? All the research I did recommends at least a 110 - 125 amp alternator for 1200+ watt systems.

Of course "2400 watts" coming from a Sony amp is not the same coming from a DLS or Arc. Not trying to dog you, I just want the troof.
