Navigation?

I'm looking at buying a Pioneer Avic-D1 or D2, does anyone have any experience with either? I know the N-3 is out now but I don't need to watch DVD's nor do I like the fold out monitors anymore. The D2 new on ebay is about a grand, if anyone has any info let me know.

I have a D1 installed. For the price, it's not too bad at all but if you can spend a little extra, I'd go with an Eclipse double-din unit.

Yup, I used the GXE kit. There will be a small gap at the bottom. You can fix that with a strip of plastic. The Eclipse units have better sound quality plus better warranty. Not sure how the navi compares to the Pioneers though. The navi on the D1 does fine for me.

Can go wrong with eclipse.. and the fit can be made perfect by a good installer.
