Back to Stock Audio

I have a Pioneer HU, JBL amp and two Audiobahn subs in the trunk. I want to take all that out and put the factory HU back in. I would like to do this myself and am wondering if I can find instructions or a guide on this. I've googled and haven't come upon anything. I'm not a mechanical or electrical pro. At the most i've changed my oil but with some instructions I think I can do it myself and learn something in the process as well.

Thanks

Similar topic.... i just bought an 02 Max .... obviously the prev owner had an aftermarket system but put the stock HU back in when he sold it. Everything works perfect except the steering controls. I took a look back there and there are 4 wires taped together not going anywhere. On the back of the stock HU there is room for 4 clips... the top 2 are pinned out perfect accodring to the wiring diagrams i found online.... I am assuming i am missing the clip that these 4 wires plug into (one of the 2 open slots on the bottom)... does anyone have a pic of the back of a stock HU (non bose) that would show me the pin out for these... (2 reds, light blue w/ yellow stripe, and brwn) also any leads on where to find this part.... i checked the dealer and salvage yards. I just want them to work again. Audio shops were clueless and told me i had to have that clip even if i went with aftermarket to hook up steering wheel controls.

Would the PAC SWI help me even though i dont have the clip....?

I hate it when things dont work like they are supposed to. Any help would be appreciated!

Looks like he cut it then wired them to a steering wheel control adapter hence the missing harness. You would not be able to use a PAC in this situation as the BOSE does not have a remote input that can be plugged in like aftermarket HU's do.
