Quick pac adapter question

This doesn't pertain to my car, but a buddy of mine. He drives an Audi A3 2.0T, and is equipped with the Bose system. We spent today running the power and ground cable in his car, and connected everything up. He bought a Pac line out convertor since he's keeping the stock HU for now. Well, the amp turns on, everything is secured, but seems like the amp isn't getting anything from the Pac.

We tapped the adapter at the stock sub location, before the amp. We spliced into the wiring harness that ends up back there, based on this wiring diagram he got off of an Audi forum. The adapter suppose to be connected to a non-powered signal correct? I know the sub is good, and the amp is brand new. Am I overlooking something here?

i rather have a drunk bum do my installs.

if the amp is getting any power, than that means...it's not getting any power.

check your connections and try again

Try tapping the LOC after the sub amp. Or just splice RCA's directly before the amp if its Bose.

I have to sing the absolute praises of the JL Audio CL441DSP. Known as the CleanSweep this is an absolute must for those that want to or have to keep their stock BOSE system. It is a digital signal processor that basically removes the crappy factory equalization and lets you control the level with a ****. I have the stock Bose HU, amp, and highs. I added a Kicker ZX400.1 sub amp to a Infinity DVC 12" and it ROCKS (THUMPS) and sounds good with all music (except country, how would I know?). If you can afford it this is the only way to go. Send that PAC line level converter back and get a JL Audio CleanSweep.

If you want to order where I ordered from reply or email (bigboiajayi@yahoo) and I will send you the link the company is in PA. The cheapest I found this at retail stores was 399.00 on the Internet 349.99 and from MedTronics 299.99 and only 10 dollars shipping. You will NOT find it cheaper than 299.99 unless on ebaY!

Audi's are a PIA. Especially when dealing with their factory amps.

Just adding this because everything else seems covered.

Gordo's still a n00b.
