Sub help!

may be buying a JL 500/1 amp from a friend for pretty cheap. looking for one 10" or 12" sub. not looking to spend over $175 for the sub. I want a sub that takes up very little room. Not a huge bass head anymore, just looking for some good sound but that will hit hard when I do want it to.

how would a image dynamic 12v2.d2 work?

any other recommendations?

i'd say go with a low level infinity. great for sq set ups maybe the reference series should be around 100-150 for a twelve even cheaper for a ten

I would go with an audiobahn 12"
http://www.caraudiodeals.com/product...roducts_id=242

Then put it in a sealed box and it will sound good.

But if you really want to sound good get
JL 12w3 and turn the gain on your amp down....

I am very happy with my Arc Series 12" sub. Soundplinter subs are also very nice. I ran a 10" RL-i for a while.

I actually still have a picture of my 10" SS sub in my sig.

not to be a duesh but why buy a JL 500/1 if youre "not a huge bass head"? to me thats just a waste of a sweet a$s amp.

as for the sub...Alpine Type R's are nice, or JL W3
