Speakers shorting out

Ok, heres an odd one, at least I think its odd. I had best buy install new alpine type-r speakers all around, and amp them as well with a 50w x 4 alpine amp. They tapped into the stock wiring to the speakers in back by the bose amp. On to the odd problem..Whenever I turn right, or accelerate quickly, the sound will cut out. It comes back as soon as Im going straight again. When Im going straight and it does it, it corrects itself...any ideas on this one??

Exposed wires somewhere... You have anything in your trunk that would hit them causing the short? Basically the wiring is loose, and when you accelerate, it moves and touches something bad. Go back and make sure everything is secured.

ok, I checked all the wires at the amp, all of them are fine, nothings loose, nothings even close to each other. When I unhooked the back right speaker, then everything is fine. Maybe best buy screwed up when they were wiring in that speaker??

Trace the wire completely from start to finish.

Bold area is the problem.

Do not do a thing. No need for you to waste your valuable time troubleshooting their mistake. Take it back and have them fix it.

ya, thanks don, I have heard that best buy....hmm..how shall I say it...sucks the big one when it comes to install...I was honestly gonna do it myself, but was going on vacation and didn't have time to install it. So I was like eh....big mistake...I just don't want them to go back in and make it worse....or short out my discontinued alpine deck...I hate the new ones

I think it is funny because I do very good install work, and have my own car to showcase that, yet best buy won't hire me. Its like theyre satisfied being sub-par. Oh well, their theory is to just throw money at problems, not try and legitimately solve them.

"Dont argue with dumb people. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Your install skills could quite possibly (and most probably) will get WORSE if you work there.
