Three new line released by Rainbow..

More geared towards the budget minded, but look to be quite nice as well..

CSX465 double midbass set:
http://car.rainbow-audio.de/products...n=9&art=231064

Here is a text a German car hifi magazine wrote:
The CSX 465.20 with its double Woofer is persuasive with a full and crisp bass
rendition typical of coated paper cones. A plastic phase plug assists the system
in achieving a perfect mid-tone projection. Because not everyone can accommodate
two woofers per side, Rainbow now also offers the SAX 265.20 with an aluminum
cone. This woofer impresses with a rendition equally impressive as that of the
CSX 265 and offers a little more in regard to dynamics.

CSX265:

SAX265:

I noticed the Germaniums are also utilizing the double woofer package. Do the second set of woofers actually take care of a lower frequency, or is it just two woofers per door running the same frequencies? Passive Radiator?

They both play the same range. They actually are two drivers, not a passive radiator. Hence the terms "double woofer system"

Hmmm I wonder if it is cost effective just to buy one set of the double woofers compared to 2 sets of 2 speakers each.

Well if the "dual woofer" pack comes with 4 woofers, 2 tweeters, and 2 crossovers, then I am VERY interested. If you will get some in stock I'd appreciate a PM

Hey Don perhaps an upgrade my be in order what do you think about that. I started my install and building aof this system for the fun of it. Now things have gotten a bit more serious. My sub enclosure and amp rack are sick. I have thrown my hat in the ring in the competition world and quite frankly I want to win. What would changes would you suggest?

so based on tonal characteristics...how do these compare to the soundlines?

a side note, just embarassed this guy who spent 1500 dollars on a custom install job by my "budget" system.

rainbows ftw!

Did he spend 1500 on the speakers, or his whole system, because that isn't that much to start? What was your budget?!

Yup spoke with him. In fact I was there when he was talking to you. That is a bit much for me at this point but yes it is going to be sick. I got my install done and let me tell you that flatline is nasty. Man that thing is clean and thumps to no end. I have to tune my system then I will decide if I want to change my Germaniums. I will post pics later I think you all will be impressed.
