Quick question about the bose sytem

Where does the crossover come into play? In the head unit...in the amp? My sub gets source off one of the rear speaker, is that okay? Is it getting all the frequencies it should be? Thanks for your help

It is fine to get your source from one of the rear speakers. It shouldn't matter at all. The only time that will come into play will be when you fade from the front to the back of the vehicle.

No dude, I think he spliced into the rear speaker wires and used a LOC to get some signal cables.

I didn't even use a LOC. I tried one, volume was better without it (just putting an RCA on the end). Im reallly not happy with the way the bass sounds....it distorts at high volumes, I'm seriously thinking about pouring the money into a new head unit and an adapter to use the bose...does that sound pretty good? bose speakers with a different head unit? I also have a set of subs, 10's instead of a 15 which I think being 10s with a smaller amp might do better..I really don't know yet. I bougt a 20ft roll of velcro for shutting up my back deck though, man that is just horrible the way it rattles...

Did the velcro work? I need to do something about my deck, too. I took out the 3rd brake light and wrapped the inside with tsunami silencer. Then I realized that the deck was creating the awful racket.

havent gotten a chance to pull it apart...ill let ya know....im thinking all the plastic behind the seats and under the deck would shut it up nicely...it will pad it and stilll be removable since its velcro...that was my thought at least
