I personally haven't, it seems they're geared towards SQ mainly, obviously by the 40W RMS. I guess since i'm not an all out type of guy on my stereo, $450 for components sounds kind of steep, i'd be interested to know just how good the SQ is, better be incredible for that much.

I'm assuming you're talking about the type X component's you claimed you got in the other thread there, so...

they sound very good, my buddy has them in his truck. BUT, for the price, you can get much better.. they do not sound as good as my ~$250 Rainbow SLCs..

If you're gonna spend a bunch of dough on the type x's, why not spend a bit more and get Rainbow Germaniums? they'll **** on the type X's all day long.

i bet it all depends on how you amp them, and Penguin215(where did you get 40rms for type x speakers? They are rated at 75rms!, ok you guys and all these rainbow speakers, what are the best 6 1/2 RAINbow speakers, Also what are the best and i mean best 6 1/2 speakers? Your buddy with the truck, what is he using for an amp and how much rms is he giving each speaker?

Also what gauge wire should i get for the speakers with two up front running 75 watt rms, and 50watt rms in the rear. let me take a stab and say 16 gauge? what will do the trick, and what should the wire be made off?

16 gauge will be fine. i'm using 14 gauge for mine (ran out of 16 gauge, used what i had laying around). i also recommend the SLC's. for the price, they're very hard to beat. i have a set in my max, and they're being fed ~100 watts per side.

I believe it is because you get a very good product for your money, specially when you compare them to other speakers within the same price point. I was listening to Jesse Cook (Tempest) on the way home today, and I was like man, these are some nice speakers. I've already had them installed in my car for a while too.

The best Rainbows I assure you are WELL Beyond your budget.

"Best speakers" is Way too subjective, theres no such thing. Anywhere, by anyone.

who are you to tell me my budget? maybe i wouldnt spend an insane amount on speakers, but who are you to tell me that I do or do not have the money? Im sorry if i took that comment the wrong way, but i was just saying that all of you guys that are givin props to rainbows becasue your being a little self centered and are focused on them because you picked them out and put your money into them. So yea let me ask you again to answer the question, what are the best rainbow speakers in 6 1/2? and how much are they?

For the record, yes I give props to them due to them being an exceptional product. I also deal with and carry ALOT of other high end products, doesnt make my suggestion any less valid.

what are they called, and are they worth 10 grand? Are they really worth it i mean? also since your a dealer of these speakers you mind sharing with us if anyone has ever bought them from you? and about them being out of my budget, i would have to say its out of all our budgets probably combined, I don't know if i would spend that much on a speaker even if i was super rich, and none of us are that because this is a maxima forum.

To an audiophile, yes they are. Yes I have sold them before.

Now talking about judging? Your stating that people here cannot afford them AND because its a Maxima forum? FYI: I personally run the $3200 Platinums with $500 SEAS midranges. ANother member here runs the same but with the $1K Platinum midbasses. Shall I name others that are not finacially fit to afford expensive speakers?

ok for the record these past say 4-5 posts are worthless. I have allready bought the x's and i am not buying anything else. Thanks for putting me into the 6 1/2 direction all around. All i was asking is if any of you acctually heard the x's and if you hadn't then dont compare them to something else.

also i was wondering since my deck has 3 preamp outputs,
looks like this
white,red
white,red
white,red

which rca's are for the front speaker, rear, and sub? or it dosent matter?

Yes Ive heard them if they were about 1/3 of the price they are Id call them Decent. If you already bought them then what does it matter? Most people Ask First, purchase later. If you got a bunch of people telling you theyre crap and you already have them, then what? You already said your not buying anything else so what is the point of this entire post??

RTFM, the ones labeled are the ones you use for their intended purposes.

Did you ever think they like their car as well as good sound? Or the simple fact that if they sell their car their speakers can come with them?

For an easily offended person you sure do pass ALOT of judgement on others.

Stop being a judgemental hypocritical douchebag or youll be gone from the forum.

Why are you putting speakers in a car your selling anyway, is the real question at hand? You really think speakers are gonna help a sale? Talk about a great investment.

More great investments, three maximas. How about I criticize your spending decisions, saying you need to sell em all and buy one good car.

My problem is j00...acting like a douchebag, as stated above.

Your obviously only reading what you WANT to see. I said if they were 1/3 of their price, THEN they are decent. Read the whole statement.
