out of 1/2" birch. this stuff is pretty damn strong. it's wee bit expensive too. went to lowes and bought a 4' x 4' sheet of it, and it was like 30 bucks (compared to the 22 dollars for a 4' x 8' sheet of 3/4" mdf). the guy wanted it to be as light as possible, hence the reason to go with birch.

it's 1.3 cu ft, without port displacement, tuned to 35 hz. a 10" ascendant audio arsenal will go in it eventually.

total outer surface area of the box is 1692 sq inches. now, a regular stamp is roughly 1 sq inch. that means i will need around 1692 stamps to cover the outside of the box. now, each stamp is 39 cents. so...1692 stamps would cost me $659.88...unless you paypal me this amount, i ain't covering sh*t
