BOSE stopped Working

BOSE stopped Working

Hey all..just a quick Q, i have a 95 GLE, and my bose just cut out last night..still plays the CD's andeverything as normal..but no sound of any kind..anyone dealt with this before?

no, this is completely new, i thought the Bose systems were bullet proof?

if the unit powers on, but you have no sound, check the fuses. it's most likely either the "audio" or "bose" fuse in the middle row, i think the 3rd or 4th down from the top. if you replace the fuse and you hear it blow again, then you have a problem on one of your amps.

...You're kidding, right?

The Bose HU is known for cutting out. Replace it (with aftermarket) and you'll be fine.

if you don't get any error message on the HU, then it is something else. check the fuses

First remove the fuse and put it back in, sometimes that will reset the unit and make it work, otherwise the HU is most likely no longer working and is not worth the money/time spent no fixing it when you can just replace it.
