6.5" Install Parts List

1) 6.5" DVD/CD Receiver.
2) Scosche NN1494B Install Kit
(or GXE Center Console)
3)METRA 70-7551 Harness

I'm ready to start!!! What else do I need to put this thing in, besides a lot of luck?

Dont use the scosche. Get the GXE and save yourself the trouble. You also need an antenna adapter.

If I don't use the Scosche install kit will the HU I get come w/ some type of bracket to bolt it in?

You need NO bracket in the Maxima. You use the existing one in the car. dash kits allow for finishing of the dash/cosmetic purposes only.

Please read the stickies about installation in a 5th gen.

You also need 2 beers. One is not enough, and you can't do it if you have 3.

Yes, diversity antenna adapter. Should be female round with two pin holes, and the other end will have a single round plug with one pin.
